Influenced by a childhood of rural beauty and nature, Michael’s love for painting began on a dairy farm in Vermont. Propelled by his study with mentor Ted Minchin, he became energized with all types of water media and went on to work with several accomplished artists, always returning to his love of color and texture through nature. His passion is balanced between realism and abstraction, and reflects a great sense of experimentation and freedom. His figurative work “man to man” stretches the scope of Michael’s work into a beautiful blend of both styles. Michael has received numerous awards in juried shows from New England to Florida. He is a member of several associations including The New England Watercolor Society. Michael has produced several successful solo shows throughout his art career. Michael Domino facilitates workshops on the east coast and received the “Leadership in Arts” award for his excellence in teaching from The Center for the Arts Bonita Spring, Florida.
